Aliyah: Do You See What I See?
“ Do you see what I see?”
Photography is about imagination and it’s an, exploration for me. When taking photos I adapt to the what lighting, backgrounds, shapes and motions are in the area around me. In this series I have set about transforming the sparkling highlights and interesting things of the body parts and what they can do. It is through the process of intimate discovery that I identify the subject matter and the people viewing my photos can understand what I’m trying to emphasize.
In these pictures, you see body parts with bruises, cuts, scars, bending and all shapes and sizes that show you the difference in every person. You will see a variety of changes in body’s parts. Always remember each persons view on their body parts are different, some people may see something they like some people don’t, and some people just don’t care.
I like photography because just like any other art or painting, it speaks volumes and always has a deeper meaning behind every photo being taken. When I take photos I like to think outside the box and really make sure there’s so many ways to view the final piece so everyone can speak to it and have an opinion on how they feel about each picture.
Photography for me has always been a fun thing to do weather it was taking selfies, pictures of the sunset or something I thought was magnificent. I enjoy it because you can take a photo of nothing and it still be so beautiful.
