TAHA'S PORTFOLIO: A BIT OF EVERYTHING
A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING
Abstract art is not always about what the picture is but what you think it is and how it makes you feel. In most of my photos I am trying to make you think where these photos were taken. I wanted to show what I could do with what I had in my school to show that you can find art in the cafeteria or even your class.
I got my inspiration from the artist edward weston because i admire the fact that his work includes food and random objects also i really like his use in black and white and simplicity while making the consumers think and figure out what exactly the image is. I could think a picture looks like one thing while someone else thinks it's another.
I took these pictures by putting a black and white setting and captured my photos in close up angles while leaving out parts of the image for the imagination. In the beginning of the school year I didn't like shooting in black and white until this assignment. I have found a new appreciation for black and white and how it can elevate and give so much more emotion to a photo.
I want my photos to teach people that art can be interpreted, there's no wrong answer. I want my art to make people think and question,I want my art to make people feel things and get inspired.
